It's infuriatingly stupid: "#Google and the German Federal Office for Information #Security (#BSI) have concluded a strategic cooperation agreement with the aim of promoting the development of "secure and #sovereigncloud solutions for federal, state and local authorities."
This is how this whole #digitalsovereignty blah blah in Europe is bound to fail.
@ilumium So... am I reading this correctly, the fox gets to help the chickens design the henhouse and even gets paid for it?
@ilumium Looks like the agreement was signed in February, but only published now. The world has changed since then. As a German government I would rip the paper to pieces immediately.
@robvliet @ilumium The push for digital sovereignty is older. The last government in Germany promised it in an official declaration four years ago EU recommendations are even older than that.
Our BSI doesn't understand professional security. Their tools are guidelines, checkboxes, lists and excel tables.
@ilumium Is Absurdistan getting real this year?
@ilumium So like the USA, Germany is handing over its citizens' data to KNOWN BAD ACTORS! Amazing. Astonishing. Tragic.
