I know the outcome of the presidential election in #Romania has a web of complex reasons. But it would be ludicrous to ignore the dangerous impact that #bigtech's laissez-faire and its #trackingads and content #monetisation business model has. Not only #tiktok but also #google and #meta:

@ilumium Good to study and report on it. I expect the result, as in "Network Propaganda", will be that social media didn't move the elections, but traditional media did.
In Italy, "silenzio elettorale" laws ostensibly apply to social media too, but enforcement is conveniently left to politicians (the Home Affairs ministry), except for licensed TVs. The Constitutional Court studies the case of Spain.
